Ravens @ Redskins

The Ravens look to rebound from their tough loss to Pittsburgh this Sunday when the make the short travel to Washington.  The Redskins are probably playing their best football that they have all season, which could be bad news for Baltimore.  Robert Griffin III seems to be improving every game and will be a real threat to score on the Ravens defense.  Another rookie on the offense has been arguably even more impressive.  Alfred Morris has already rushed for over 1100 yards and 6 touchdowns, while Griffin has also rushed for 700 himself.   Griffin  has also over 2600 yards through the air despite inconsistent play from his receivers.  He has led an offense that is first in the NFL in rushing, but just 21st in passing.  Griffin continues to improve though so that number should improve.

The Redskins are riding on a 3 game winning streak against all 3 of their division rivals.  The offense has been on fire, but they have struggled all year stopping the pass.  They will be coming into this game with the 31st ranked pass defense in the league.  Flacco needs to step up in a big way to win this game.  With Cedric Griffin suspended Torrey Smith could get some real opportunities to go down field.  That should be the best way for Baltimore to come out on top.

It won’t be easy though.  The Redskins are favorites in this game with all the momentum on their side.  I still feel that Baltimore is the superior team on the field.  Injuries are really catching up with them, though.  Dannell Ellerbe is ruled out once again, which is good news for Morris and the running game.  Terrell Suggs will try to give it a shot, but his playing time will depend on his performance.  The offense is mostly healthy though, so they should be able to light up the scoreboard against this secondary.
