Ravens Look To Stay On Right Track This Thursday

Sunday night was tense for the Baltimore Ravens.  After giving up 13 unanswered points early in the game, they were playing catch up the rest of the evening against a New England Patriots team that looked at the top of their game.  Superb efforts by Torrey Smith and Ray Rice helped guide them to a win, however.  They play again this Thursday in primetime, and they will have to be this good if they want to cover the -12.5 they are favored by against a hungry Cleveland Browns team.

Considering everything that happened with Torrey Smith’s family on Sunday morning, it was a relief he even suited up to play this week.  He did, though, and performed to the highest level.  He managed over 100 receiving yards and got 2 touchdowns on the day. He should be able to help the Ravens out quite a bit on Thursday, as the Browns secondary is subpar at best and Smith more than proved he can make big time plays when the ball is put into his hands.

Ray Rice played to the highest level on Sunday night as well.  He tore up the back field with 101 rushing yards and a touchdown.  He also made some plays as a receiver, gaining almost 50 yards for the team.  Much like with Smith, Rice should have no problem running all over the Browns defense this coming Thursday when the team hosts them in Baltimore.  This is a division match up, so things should get very interesting.

The Ravens looked great on the field this past Sunday night when they could get some momentum going.  They should be a surefire NFL picks this week 4, provided they manage to avoid unneeded penalties and find ways to get the ball to the primary offensive players in their line-up.
